A charity BH-SHED helps disadvantaged people in the Burgess Hill area, who are unable to undertake craft projects due to lack of tools or know how. It offers a relaxed environment for members to pursue projects and hobbies and to learn new skills.

Handcross Rosemary Club
This is a friendship group meeting at Handcross on the third Wednesday of every month for tea, sandwiches and entertainment. The club organises two outings each year and a Christmas party.

The Bereavement Group
The (Burgess Hill) Bereavement and Friendship Group is for people who have recently been bereaved. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month.

Glen Vue Carers Group
Attendance at the meetings is free and is for anyone who is a carer of an adult. It provides mutual support, the sharing of advice, knowledge and ideas.

The Macular Society is the national charity for anyone affected by central vision loss. They have more than 21,000 members and, as the biggest membership group in the sight loss sector, we are the voice of people with macular conditions. They provide information and support to improve the lives of people with macular disease with 300 Macular Society support groups around the UK and beyond, run by volunteers. There is a helpline as well as befriending and counselling services and one-to-one training in skills to make the best use of remaining vision is also offered. The Society also campaigns for better care and we fund research so that one day we can overcome macular disease.
Support and advice is offered from the moment of diagnosis and the Helpline Team are always there to take your call – 0300 3030111. The group meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 1.30 to 3.30. It is held at the Jubilee Community Centre, in Charlswood Road, East Grinstead RH19 2HL
The group is for family carers supporting a person with dementia still living at home.
