Congratulations to the PRH League of Friends

The PRH League of friends have  through their fundraising been able to buy special equipment for a number of departments ranging from A&E to paediatric, physiotherapy . Special mention should be made of the purchase of 30 new electric beds. In all the league of Friends have spent £164,732 this year. They want the Princess Royal to remain at the forefront of modern technology and the patients to be comfortable.

The saga continues on mental health treatment for older people

Members of the committee are to meet SHA chiefs in September to hear their plans for the treatment of the over 60s with mental health problems. The future of Clayton Ward remains unclear; for the moment it remains open but we understand the beds are not all being utilised.   watch this space for regular updates.

Public meeting Hassocks 3 July 2009

"Tony Blair has radicalised elderly people" said Nick Herbert at the Hassocks Public meeting on 3 July 2009.  A well attended meeting heard Nick Herbert, MP for Arun and South Downs, talk about the PRH campaign, intergenerational fairness, the value of th state pension and democracy in so far as it affected older people.  He referred to the PRH campaign to save the A&E and Maternity Departments as a most significant cross-party march and said that the NHS must be protected and at the top of our list of priorities.  He would do everything in his power to support the provision of
